About the event
Join us for The Culture Experience, an inspiring evening of cultural engagement at the African American Research Library & Cultural Center (AARLCC).
As part of REACH Week 2026: Reclaim. Reconnect. Reignite., we will begin the evening exploring two impactful exhibits:
• Selma Is Now: The Photography of Spider Martin
• House of Stone: Contemporary Zimbabwean Art
Following exhibit viewing, we will attend An Evening with Dr. Karsonya “Kaye” Whitehead, nationally respected public historian, cultural critic, and educator. Dr. Whitehead’s work centers on Black public memory, racial justice, and social transformation, and this conversation promises to be both timely and thought-provoking.
